How to Check Your Bottle Date
Not sure if your bottle is current? Here's how to find out:
- Find the stamp — Look for a series of numbers and letters stamped into the metal near the neck or shoulder of your bottle.
- Read the date — You'll see a date in MM-YY format (for example, 03-21 means March 2021). This is either the manufacture date or the last recertification date.
- Count 5 years — If more than 5 years have passed from that date, your bottle is expired and needs recertification before it can be filled.
